With the <a href="http://www.livestation.com/blog/27-livestation_chat_room_changes-2000000027">dramatic increase in usage and popularity of our channel chat rooms</a> over the last few weeks we have had to introduce some moderation guidelines which will enable us to ignore spammers and those pushing hate speech. Here is our "silencing" policy: 1. Anyone pushing hate speech with incitement to kill, obscenity or sexual reference will be banned from the chat room for 10 minutes in the first instance, 20 minutes in the second and 60 minutes in the third. 2. For repeat postings (copy and paste), users will be banned for 5 minutes in the first instance, 10 minutes in the second instance and then 15 minutes in the third. 3. Libellous comments will receive a 60 minute ban.
