Palin v Biden debate chat on Al JazeeraAl Jazeera English is hosting a live chat on Livestation chat again, this time for the Sarah Palin versus Jo Biden vice presidential candidate debate. It's a one-off event and gets underway at 01:00 GMT on Friday morning 3 October. The debate lasts for 90 minutes. It will be followed by a discussion on the Al Jazeera English channel. Al Jazeera will have at least one senior journalist in the Livestation chat room for the debate and the discussion. The Al Jazeera programme starts an hour before the debate begins. To get to the chat room, select Al Jazeera in the player. Then click on the downward arrow at the top of the screen to reveal the tab selection. Click on the chat tab and you will see all those who are already in the chat room. You can set your nickname, and, if you have time, please add your location. Everyone is welcome. RE: Palin v Biden debate chat on Al JazeeraWell that was fun. Four hours in the Livestation chat room attached to the live, Al Jazeera coverage of the Palin v Biden debate. So many fascinating points of view and perspectives. Made some new chums, too --- hope they all keep the same nicknames for the next time. The BBC is saying this morning in a piece entitled Pitfalls Dodged, that "there were no knock-out blows nor big slip-ups". The author should have been in the our chat room to read some of the comments there, all of which were fed through to the Al Jazeera English output team by a senior journalists, Russell Merryman, who identified himself and joined in the chat. Anyway, Al Jazeera English will be doing it again for the replay and discussion at 12:00 GMT today and will be doing the same for the remaining two presidential debates. David Signature: David Brewer
